The excellent battery life enables you to use the labels for up to 10 years. Your advantage: time-consuming battery changes become less frequent and allow more updates of the displays. With the option of updating the label display several times a day, the customer can easily call up additional information using the buttons integrated in the frame or call an employee of the respective department about the desired product. In addition, the e-ink labels are up to 80% stronger in handling shock loads than other comparable labels. Less damage therefore also means lower repair costs for you.

Multifunctional buttons
All NEWTON labels have two configurable buttons on the label frame to which you can assign individual functions. For example, the buttons enable you to switch between different pages stored directly on the label, call for service personnel directly at the product or report low shelf stocks in the shop or the warehouse environment. This is how you improve the shopping experience and customer service for your customers.
Particularly in industrial applications, system errors can also be reported to the responsible staff via the buttons, allowing them to check and correct them quickly.

With NEWTON, you don't have to compromise on familiar paper label sizes. The available label formats from 1.6" to 11.6" cover almost all common paper label sizes. Due to their elegant, minimalist design, the electronic labels appear innovative and modern and, thanks to their simple design, prevent excessive distraction from your products at the same time.

Convenient location determination with LED and positioning system
Thanks to the integrated LED, your products can be easily located. The LED, which can display 7 different colours, protrudes slightly above the casing. This makes the light visible from a 180-degree angle. Customers and staff alike can find products more easily via smartphone app or interactive product advisor, by letting the LED shine in individual colors marking the product's location. Thanks to the different colours, it is possible for several people to use this function at the same time.
In addition, the labels can also be located using the company's own positioning system. The label provides feedback to a so-called anchor label, whose location has been determined beforehand (for example, at the beginning of a row of shelves). The anchor label measures the distance to the required label and sends this information to the server as an X and Y position.
By determining the location of the label, managers, employees and buyers receive precise information on the correct location of the desired product. The system thus also helps to identify and locate labels where employee intervention is necessary - whether due to an error message such as low battery or the activation of the previously configured service button by the customer.

Mobile Payment
Once the right product has been found using the localization options, the customer can also complete his or her purchase directly at the shelf. This is because a mobile payment system can be linked to the e-ink labels via barcodes or NFC. Your customers can connect to the stored shop app by mobile payment at the shelf via self-checkout on their smartphones using the label, and if necessary, redeem a digital coupon and complete the purchase process using various payment methods. Of course, the app can also be used to provide additional product information, further item suggestions, as well as advertising and discount campaigns to the customer - while you and your employees save time and money, the shopping experience and service for your customers is enhanced.
Dust and waterproof thanks to IP67 certification
The NEWTON electronic shelf label series is one of the few E-Ink labels on the market with IP67 certification. This makes the NEWTON labels completely dust- and waterproof. The E-Paper displays can withstand water up to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. This makes the electronic displays suitable for numerous applications where conventional labels with E-Ink technology do not offer sufficient protection, such as fresh food counters or gardening departments. Secondly, even the smallest dust particles are no longer a problem in manufacturing. In addition to the long battery life, the robustness of NEWTON labels ensures that the digital shelf labels can be used for years.
